On Friday, July 18, 2025, The Lumineers closed out their two-night run at Boston’s Fenway Park as part of their Automatic World Tour, delivering a performance that married stadium grandeur with heartfelt intimacy. The packed crowd of over 35,000 fans was fully engaged from the opening chords of “Same Old Song” to the stirring encore of “Stubborn Love.”

Frontmen Wesley Schultz and Jeremiah Fraites led a nearly two-hour set that balanced newer tracks from Automatic—including “Asshole,” “Brightside,” and “Automatic”—with fan favorites like “Flowers in Your Hair,” “Ophelia,” and “Cleopatra.” The band opened with acoustic-driven numbers before transforming the venue into a sea of LED wristbands synced to songs like “Ho Hey”

and “Sleep on the Floor,” adding a magical light show to the night.

Between songs, Schultz shared inspirational quotes and personal reflections—thanking the audience for supporting the band’s journey from small clubs to Fenway and emphasizing how deeply he felt the moment. These impromptu speeches created a genuine connection, making a massive stadium feel much more personal.

The set also featured collaborative and unexpected moments: Sameer Gadhia of Young the Giant joined for “Gale Song,” Josiah and the Bonnevilles joined Schultz on a poignant cover of Justin Bieber’s “Ghost,” and keyboardist Stealth Ulvang danced barefoot across the stage and even climbed the Green Monster during “Stubborn Love.”

The night closed with a heartfelt encore of “Stubborn Love,” sending the audience home with a sense of closeness, hope, and unity—proof that The Lumineers can bring intimate emotional resonance to even the most monumental stages.
